UPDATES March 16, 2026

  • Due to an atmospheric river, Oregon has received record breaking rain over the past few days causing widespread, minor flooding in Multnomah, Linn, Benton and Tillamook counties.

  • Rivers Edge RV park in Clatskanie (Columbia County) flooded, impacting over 200 residents. Evacuations were recommended, although many chose to stay in place. Waters reached over the base of most units, causing damages but no physical harm to humans.

  • The Wilson and Trask rivers have receded leaving soggy ground and isolated damages.

  • In Tillamook County, road closure on Highway 101 due to erosion is causing significant delays just south of Neskowin.

UPDATES March 12, 2026

  • A flood watch is in effect through Friday, March 13 for much of Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington due to widespread heavy rain and an atmospheric river system moving through the region. Impacted counties include: Tillamook, Linn, Benton, and Multnomah.

  • The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the Wilson and Trask Rivers and those areas are forecasted to reach, at minimum, Minor Flood Stage with some areas expected to rise even higher. Portland will experience record-breaking rainfall this week as well.

  • There are some road closures in Tillamook County along the coast, including Hwy 101, particularly during high tide. In Multnomah County, sections of the Historic Columbia River Highway are closed due to a landslide (east of Corbett, between the Portland Women's Forum and Larch Mountain Road).
