Jackson County Community Long Term Recovery Group requests $30,000 in bridge funding to sustain staff and operating expenses that support Rogue Valley Community Organizations Active in Disaster, RV COAD. RV COAD staff support member organizations before disasters by providing training, tools, planning support, partner coordination, and shared resources. During disasters and community disruptions, staff coordinate nonprofit partners in direct alignment with local emergency managers. This creates a clear link between government response and community response. That link helps make disaster response more organized, efficient, and locally informed. It reduces duplication. It helps partners understand urgent needs. It allows community-based organizations to move faster and work from the same information.

Requested funds will support:

•   Staff time to build and maintain the RV COAD network

•   Training, tools, and resources for nonprofit disaster partners

•   Activation support during disasters and community disruptions

•   Coordination between nonprofit partners and local emergency managers

•   Community-owned survivor intake readiness

•   Partner communication and meeting facilitation

•   Volunteer coordination and readiness

•   Planning, documentation, and after-action reporting

•   Basic operating costs needed to sustain RV COAD

A $30,000 award would help sustain immediate COAD coordination capacity while RV COAD continues working with public and philanthropic partners on longer-term funding. This bridge support would help prevent the loss of institutional knowledge, trusted partner networks, and deployable response tools built through years of recovery and response.
