Latino Community Association is requesting funds for accessible emergency preparedness resources, clean air solutions, essential supplies, and culturally and linguistically appropriate communication to support vulnerable community members during wildfire smoke events and other emergencies. Specifically, LCA will provide portable air purifiers, emergency preparedness kits, and distribute essential supplies (canned food, grocery gift cards, infant formula, hygiene items, pet food). LCA is also seeking funds to support their staff time to coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities, including disseminating timely and accurate emergency information through LCA's communication channels and social media, and conducting direct outreach through phone calls and text messages to vulnerable community members.
