Lake Chinook Fire and Rescue currently does not have water supply to 3 of our 4 subdivisions. Right now, it takes 30 - 35 minutes to shuttle water in our tender for any fire or need. This request would cover one of the three remaining 15,000-gallon water tanks for fire suppression in our district. Water infrastructure funding is almost nonexistent in FEMA grants, and with water being the most useful tool for suppressing fires, it's imperative that we limit time without water (tender shuttling). This funding would directly impact operations in a positive manner immediately.
