The Portland Free Store Project
Request: $6,600
We are a nonprofit free thrift store in Portland, Oregon. We started in 2024, and in 2026 secured a permanent location. We need funding for rent for six months with the cost of all our bills being around $1100 a month. We are 100% volunteer-run at this point and don’t have much overhead. There is a big need in the community for free resources. Our store is open for anyone that seeks resources after disasters. We continually have people coming in that are leaving domestic violence situations, houselessness, that need food, basic resources, etc.
Rockwood Common
Request: $80,000
Application Materials
There is no community space for residents and unhoused neighbors to seek refuge. Rockwood Common Tool Library is renovating 2,600 sq ft as a resilience site and lending library to provide relief, resources, and preparedness education in this community.
