We are requesting funding to purchase three new AEDs. These units are critical in the event of a cardiac arrest. These units are not only valuable to the citizens we respond to but also in the event a firefighter suffers a cardiac event. This is a basic tool that is used anytime a citizen or firefighter has a cardiac arrest. These units will be available not only within our fire district but will also go out when our crews respond to conflagrations and natural disasters. Seconds count when someone goes into cardiac arrest and this tool will give them the greatest chance of survival.
