REGION
American Red Cross, Cascades Region
Request: $141,750
The Cascades Region of the Red Cross is requesting support for our response to the ongoing fires in Oregon. We are currently operating shelters in response to the following fires: Beachcomb & Bench Fires (Madras, Jefferson County), Grasshopper Fire (Maupin, Wasco County), Green Mountain Fire (Prineville, Crook County), Hagen Fire (Pendleton, Umatilla County), Second Flat Fire (Crane, OR, Harney County), and have a stand-by shelter prepared for the Shingle Fire (John Day, Grant County).
Oregon State University Extension & Engagement
Request: $27,000
Application Materials
We want to supply box fan filters to improve air quality for smoke impacted people. We are working with local red cross organizations, fire districts, county emergency managers. We are the local trusted technical expertise and can provide education on building these fans.
Wagontire RFPA
Request: $30,000
We are currently in need of another truck to pull a lowboy and dozer or an angle blade for a dozer. Both costs are about the same and we would decide which was needed the most at the time that finances were in order for the purchase and/or the availability of the needed equipment.
Crane RFPA
Request: $18,500
Requesting funding for 2 truck radios, and 2 handheld radios, and a 2,000-gallon water tank.
Fields/Andrews RFPA
Request: $20,000
Application Materials
We are requesting funds to purchase a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV, similar to a side-by-side or SxS) and trailer for accessing remote fires within our district. Currently we have several engines that are not capable of getting to these hard to reach places. South East Oregon has some very remote areas with challenging terrain.
